nonpgSIL called me at 7 and said that they are at the point w/MIL. She was being taken via ambulance to St. L to get her nose cauterized. It's been bleeding heavily for a while nad I"ll spare you all the gross details, but I guess it's too much for her stomach to handle now. She has a couple of options, all grim. One was something involving a 5 day stay at hte hosp, which she does not want. The second she couldn't do cuz she's allergic to the dye. The third is to go off the lovenox (she's on the strongest blood thinner she can take w/o dying) to see if that stops the nose bleed, but then she will die of a clot. They are saying that is probalby the best option at this point anyway. She is begging to die. Lung cancer is one of the most painful cancers that there is. She's crazy from all the painkillers she's on and they are killing her now and not the cancer. But she can't not have the painkillers.

Dh thought about it a bit and we talked about what to do and he decided to just drive out there (from work) and see her. If I need to  pack up his stuff and go out there, then I will. I'm pretty sure that his sister was saying not to let the boys see MIL. I understand why. I wish I had a chance to talk to her, but I probably won't. I had planned on being out there the 1st week of Sept (like I did in May), but I don't think that will happen now either.

I told the boys this am and they were trying really hard not to cry. Poor Joey. I have talked about this to him before and he asked when she was going to get unsick. That's when I told him that she was going to be w/Jesus and his little head just dropped.......... So I'll let them digest all of that for a while and talk about it some more tomorrow. And Mat said that IL would be boring w/o gma there.

I just feel awful cuz Mat's bday is Friday and Joey's is Tuesday. I hope they can handle it if we need to be at the funeral home.

Since I was a bundle of nerves after the phone call, I dusted the house before working out. Then cleaned the bathrooms, loaded us up and went to the Amish farm store and got canning lids and came home and chopped up all the tomatoes. I have enuf for 14 pints of salsa so I'll get taht done.

Unfortunatley, something happened on the computer and now Mat's history won't work. Grrrrrrr so I"ll call them this afternoon when I have time and see if they can fix it.

Dh said that he will come home late tonight or tomorrow morning if his mom stabilizes.
