garden update!

The pigs are in HOG HEAVEN tonight!LOL They got corn stalks, husks, beets, cauliflower and broccoli! Oh and carrot tops. I purged some of the garden. Much to my chagrin, the cauliflower nad broccoli is done.:( So no cream of broccoli soup tomorrow. Instead I picked the rest of the corn and it's cleaned and in the frig waiting for me to cook and cut if off the cobb for corn chowder tomorrow. It's pretty far 'gone' AFA eating off the cobb and not really enuf ot mess w/freezing (15ish ears) so this seemed like a reasonable solution.  Some of the beets were huge beyond eating. I've still got some to come so in the next week or two, I'll have more beets.;)

And I cut up a cantaloupe tonight--YUMMY! It's the only one ready adn Mat found the missing watermelon!LOL

My sweet potatoes are not doing nwell at all--the lack of water really did them in.:(

So we are down to red potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, melons and celery I think........
