crab cakes and anxiety

I'm still shaking. But I'm not sure if it was the caffiene induced drink, grilled food or just nerves from frying those crab cakes!LOL My mom brought over two of those international coffees, but neither was caffiene free so I had a small cup. Then I started making crab cakes. HOLEY MOLEY! I loathe grease. I can't say that enuf. About 1/2 way into making them, I started getting very upset. The crab wouldn't stick together and the grease was cracking, etc, etc. I just do NOT liek grease. We rarely eat anything fried (for numerous reasons, but my fear of grease being one of them!LOL).

In the end the crab cakes were pretty good. But I was honestly so upset by making the stuff that I almost started crying during supper!LOL Did I mention I hate frying food?LOL

So my mom is here and staying the night so the boys can sleep in until they wake up and then she's got them for the day/night and we get them back at church Sunday. I've got them packed and her instructions given. Dh works in the morning and I have my meeting and probalby wont' be home until 5ish. I think we are going out for supper at that point. Not sure I want to venture into the kitchen anytime soon!LOL The boys were given their orders to empty the dishwasher before they left w/grammy.

My mom was priceles while I was frying that stuff. I was pretty sure she was gonna come beat me w/the spatula............that might've helped some!LOL

So are the meds for stress from cooking cheaper than eating out?ROTFL!!!!!!!!
