potty training and being ungrateful........

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated w/Joey right now! I keep telling myself Mat wasn't pooped trained until he was 4.5, BUT he would at least get his own dipe, have you put it on, poop, and then NO MESS. Yesterday I sat Joey on the toilet at 1:30 (it had been about 27 hours since the last time) and told him he really needed to poop. POOF, in less than 5 he was done. So today at 2, he wanted to play ont he computer (someplace he's famous for pooping) and I told him not until he pooped ON HTE POTTY. So we go and he does. BIG SUCCESS, right? WRONG! I came up here for something and he POOPED ON THE FLOOR (he has no undies on!LOL)! UGH!!!!! This wasn't even 30 min after we'd been! And he typically knows if he has more.

I know, I know. This is a phase. BUt it certainly is a nasty one.

AND I called Dh at 12:20 and asked him to call me back. He knows nothing about us going to karate tonight. And I need to buy mat a new gi. He only still has his one from 4 years ago that we got for free!LOL That's probably $40..... BUT Dh wont' call me back! I know he's checked his phone. This is when I get upset w/him. I feel like he takes me for granted. I know I probalby do the same to him tho.......

But I really was hoping he'd be home in time to watch Joey so I wouldn't have to take him.:(

:D I know it isn't something that comes to mind when you think of potty training, and you would have to keep a close eye on how his bottom was getting along - but have you thought about telling Joey ahead of time that if he doesn't use the potty, then he'll have to wear his pants until he comes and tells mommy that he's dirty, and she gets time to change him. At three, and using the computer, he's definitely old enough to understand what you're telling him about it. Then, make good on the offer and let him wear it. Hopefully 15 to 40 minutes should do the trick. It won't be fun, but it might help him get the idea. Unless of course, he is the kind of child who doesn't mind pooped pants. I hope I haven't offended you by making the suggestion - but it sounds like you have enough on your hands without an obstinate pooper. <grin>

Yes, definitely a phase I dont enjoy and am getting ready to go through again. *sigh*
