DH took the day off!

I don't think it was spent how he would've liked tho!LOL We all did sleep WAAAAAAAAAAAY in! We got back after nine from gathering both boys. Mat had a BLAST at camp, as usual. I washed his sleeping bag last night!LOL So we all slept in this am--Joey wondered in our room after 8:30 and Mat after 9.

I did manage to get up and do Mat's clothes and work out. Dh then asked if I wanted to go to town this morning......it was not quite 10 and I was thinking NO WAY NO HOW!LOL I dusted and cleaned the bathrooms and hopping the shower. DH did math w/Joey and Mat watched his camp DVD (it's super cute!). Then we ate lunch and headed to town. They got Mat right in for a haircut, which was great. Then to buy dress shoes for everyone. We got that done and headed to the mall. All the moisturizing soap pumps from Bath & Body works have given me fits so I returned the remaining ones. They were having a 75% off sale so I cashed in big time--got aobut $100 worth of stuff for $37! My secret sister will be getting lots of stuff from there this year!LOL  DH took the boys to the book store next door while I did that.

Then to the grocery. By Joey's behavior, it was obvious that he was still tired! But we survived and to my knowledge, we got everything that we needed. Mat picked out popcorn shrimp for his supper and it was pretty good--but then what isn't when it's breaded and fried!LOL Then to get a snack and gas for the van and head home. We left about noon and got back about 3:30. DH and Mat got the horses out and worked w/them. He's trying to get Rusty trained to sell. While they did that, I washed Mat's tennis shoes (BLECH!LOL) and vacuumed out the van and truck.  Then I got the checkbook updated and since I FINALLY remembered to buy the month index card sorters, I got thru all the reciepts. This will make my life SO MUCH EASIER! Every few months, I'd sit down and sort thru them and pitch anything past 2 months prior. So now, when August rolls around, I can grab the May stash and pitch them w/o sorting. Hopefully DH files things correctly!LOL

So he and Mat are at baseball and I"m sitting down finally!

What a day! Must feel nice to have some rest! I was extremely tired yesterday after we worked in the garden!

index sorters?

what are the month index card sorters? sounds like something i need.

~~ I had a 4x6 index card holder so I got those index sorters (usually abcs or 123s) that have months on them. They were much more expensive than I imagined--$5.50! ANd you could easily make y our own, but I did not have the time (or the stuff) to make them right now so I just bought them. Still a very inexpensive 'fix' for our reciepts and they will basically be in chronological order w/in the month as well.
