poison ivy update

I was stunned at how bad Mat's neck was w/the PO. SOmeone told me to get zanfel and I sent DH to town after the game for it. Mat got to play 3rd base! He did a nice job, too. Especially given that he's never played there before and had a horrid case of PO that was driving him nuts! DH got home close to 10 and I got Mat treated and he woke up this am and says that he doesn't itch! I was thinking GOOD for as much as the tube cost!LOL DH usually gets PO once a year so it will get used.;)

And it's raining so no swimming like I had planned for the boys. I did my pilates, mopped and vacuumed so I'm done for the day. Mat is supposed to have practice tonight, but w/all the storms plowing thru, I don't know. I need to go look at the radar. I managed at 9 to remember that I needed to get the grub killer down (I've spotted 2 japanese beetles) and you are supposed to water it afterwards. I just try to get it down before a rain comes (see how lazy I am!).

I have poison ivy too, I found that washing the infected area with Dawn dish soap really helps, Dawn breaks up oil molecules and as you know, poison ivy uses it's natural oil to spread. Follow up with rubbing alcohol to remove any residue oil and close the pores, that should work wonders.
