snakes and poison ivy!

Whew! Long day here! We made it to story time and I found the book on the library shelves that they said that I had checked out so that was one fire put out. I got some books for them to both read for the summer reading program (they are letting Joey in even tho he's techinally too young since he can read) and the logs for those. Then to the bank to straight out the mtg. It was wrong as I had suspected. Grrrrrrr. I 'm sorry, but after SIX years, you'd think they'd get this right! Then to the PO and got more .02 stamps so I can mail things again.....I'll be glad not to need those anymore!LOL Then Joey got to pick and wanted Arby's for lunch. So we dined there and I got one of their salads. I much prefer WEndy's salads, but we have no Wendy's here.;) Then to Walmart where I ran into a HS mom that I hadn't seen in a while and we chatted and I THINK I bought everything and off to hte grocery.

I MISSED MAT! I had to load and unload and put away all this stuff BY MYSELF!ROTFL!!!!!!!!

And speaking of Mat, he's got poison ivy!!!!! Or poison something and probably chiggers too! Last time I send him w/my parents!LOL J/K He had a blast canoeing yesterday. ANd my dad is terrified of snakes and spiders and guess what fell out of a tree and onto my dad's lap? Yup! A SNAKE! Oh to have seen that!!!!!!  I'm amazed that my dad stayed in the canoe (he was by himself)! Mat knew what kind it was and it's apparentlly harmless, but I'm sure that my dad kept an eye on it!ROTFL! The snake finished the ride in the canoe w/my dad!ROTFL! Mat had a crayfish and frog by the end of the trip.

So they are on their way here and I don't have much other than hydrocortizone and calamine lotion for Mat's itchies.:(

We saw a snake swim by at a lake trip this weekend. they scare me, too!

Put a Tablespoon of bleach in a couple inches of bathwater. That will help kill the chiggers and relieve the itching. A little something I learned when in Mississippi
