blessing in disguise......

I help w/the 4-5yos at the church kid's club. There is a reason why!LOL I can't handle hte noise of hte olders kids during game time. It's usually just too much for me and I get VERY cranky. I  have helped once or twice in a pinch, but honestly, I try to leave the building so that it's not even an option. It when I usually go to walmart. So DH asked me to a pick up a certain light bulb and I said thatw as fine.  So I'm getting ready to leave last night and they ask me to be the scorekeeper for the older kids game time. So I said yes and stayed. It turned out to be GREAT! The kids weren't just wild and I got to see Mat around a bunch of kids his age. He appeared 'normal'!ROTFL! By sayign taht I mean he didn't seem to be this hyper pain in the rear that I fear he is alot of times. And the director's wife came up to me and said that she and Mat have a running joke going cuz he's almost ALWAYS on the 'green' team (her team) so she checks his hands before he comes to make sure he doens't have a permanent green mark on them!LOL

I don't know. It was just nice to see and hear all that. It won't be a habit for me tho!LOL

Your note about Mat not being the regular pain reminded me of something that happened about 25 years ago ... My 4 yr old son, Daniel, was always The Live Wire - but when I began dropping him off for playtime or babysitting, the sitters would always say he was the nicest, most polite little boy. I kept thinking, "Are they talking about MY kid?" But ... you'll find that as you teach them, they'll be nice like you say, except when they're with YOU. Just trust it .. it's a nice warm fuzzy feeling and it helps to think like that when you have one zooming all over the place. Cheers! ~Linda
