VBS program, concessions and Dh's bday!

WOW! I feel NORMAL!!!!!!!!!! Like I'm getting back on even ground!

We were ready and out the door and things actually went well. Altho there is  NO REASON to make parents show up at 4:30 to help w/concessions! There was NOTHING to do! I could've shown up at 5:15 and been just as helpful. Anyway, it was just Joey's coach and I and we were BUSY! Which was nice cuz the time flew once ppl started coming. Joey was taking orders and getting bottles of drink!ROTFL!!!! he tried collecting money and I put a halt to that!LOL They did well outside while we 'prepped' (ha ha) inside and I need to remember to praise them for that. However the mom after me hadn't showed and I told her I needed to leave at 6:30, expecting someone to be late, but that would give me 15 min to eat. At 6:45, I apologized, but I HAD to leave. Mat was done practicing anyway (whew!) and off we raced. the boys both ate before we left, but I was trying ot eat nachos while driving!LOL I had ot pick up DH too.

The program was cute, but I didn't think to shut my phone off and it RANG! I was mortified! So I hung up on Mat's coach cuz i couldn't get it to stop making noise!LOL The boys did a great job and we ate and left. SIL left the message while we were there so I was very glad that I shut it off.

Joey has a 10:30 game tomorrow and I'm hoping to cut hair (not sure about Mat's) and print bday cards and get the rest of the deck rail stained. It's supposed to be 80 and not very humid.

Then I told DH we'd go out to his favorite restaurant for his bday. My treat. He laughed. We have a stack of gift cards to the place that we haven't used!ROTFL!!!!!!!!!
