![]() Joey's 1st Tball game and my back deck!Today was LONG!LOL Joey was up at 6:15 ready for Tball...... So he was plenty grouchy by the time 9am came around. He did a good job, but cried alot during hte last 1/2 of the last inning (they play 2 whole innings!LOL)!LOL The coaches had been working w/him on 3rd base and it all went out the window w/his crying. That was over about 10:30 and straight to drop Mat off for his practice (told the coach that he'd be late and it was a rather impromtu practice to begin with) and to drop Dh adn Joey off at home so that they could go buy pig feed. Plus I needed to use the bathroom adn get a cup of hot tea since it was FREEZING out this am! I finally gave up at 1 and took Joey home (he and DH showed up at Mat's practice) to eat. There were only 5 boys so there was LOTS of one on one time, which is something that they desperately needed! Now for Mat to remember everything that he learned....... I hope to work w/him next week since I will HOPEFULLY be back at full speed again. This garlic totally kicked this cold to the curb! Then Dh wanted me to go see my brother pull so I nixed making bagels and just potted the planters adn my brother calls saying that he's not pulling. So just Joey and DH went. Mat and I had fun! Mat played w/the piglets alot and I laid on my new porch swing.;) Then we read some of his book adn worked on scraping the front porch swing. DH wants a swing (to hang) and I don't want to shell out $$$ so I decided that we could redo our old one for Father's Day for him. But the wood doesn't look very good and the hardware is rusty so I think I'll just buy all knew. I'm going to have to beg my dad or just tell DH what we're doing (he'll figure it out anyway) to saw and drill the holes. But it will be easy and fairly cheap. I just read a magazine article about using the old frames (it's one of those free standing swings) and using them for climbing vines and making a tent out of it! I thought that sounded neat and we could probably fashion it over the sandbox. Dh wouldnt' have to mow around it that way. And Mat nad I brought up the new picnic table from the barn. WOW! Our deck finally looks INVITING now that we have the swing, table and planters there! I don't know what we are doing for supper, but I do know that I will be sweeping the kitchen alot less since the boys will be eating most of their meals OUTSIDE!;) Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 684 of 1817 } { Next Page } |
