VERA BRADLEY!!!!!!!

07:46, 2007-May-2 .. Posted in daily life .. 2 comments .. Link

I had a FANTASTIC DAY! I was with my mom all day and it went well! I picked up my boys (both in one piece!) too!!!!!LOL I got to mom's about 9:15 and off we went. Turns out that microfiber stuff was 75%off! So someone in the morning session (they have 3 selling sessions for ticket holder day) got her a black microfiber baby bag for $26. They are regularly $92! I was THRILLED! Mom and I got to the town a little before 11 and I hadn't eaten adn had to use the bathroom so we stopped at Bob Evans and were at the colesium around noon to get in line. Doors opened at 1 for our session so we did a bit of plotting and planning (they have this set up like a grid so you can locate items easily) and I had a mental amt in my mind that I was going to stay under. At any rate, there were TONS of ppl (which is great cuz the ticket sales go to breast cancer research) and I managed to get what I wanted! I got my sister a ditty bag for her dirty cloth dipes (not in her 1st 2 choice colors, but oh well) and since the baby bag was so cheap, I got  her a small tote for the times that she doesn't want a big bag (in her 1st color of choice). I also snagged her this little zip ID so that when she does use her big baby bag, they won't get lost.;) I got my friend her 2 bags and I got her a matchingn wallet for her bday. I didnt' get exactly what my online friend wanted, but I think she'll like it. Then for ME!LOL I got a chelsea green hipster, brown microfiber mini zip wallet, houndstooth brown mini zip wallet, houndstooth brown Maggie, houndstooth brown (yes, I like brown!LOL) tie tote, winsdor navy large tic tac tote, and something else I think....it will come to me later!LOL But I was thrilled. All of my stuff was 50% off or more.  And my total was $6 under my budget!LOL They did ring up one item for $60 instead of $30 and thankfully I had tallied before I went to pay so I caught it and they quickly fixed it. I know, you only understood that if you are an avid Vera fan!LOL

We met up w/my SIL and she didnt' need anything that we had so we left. I got the boys and picked up stuff from my mom. My sister gave me a couple of things that she can't return for a shower that I am going to on Sunday and my mom gave me a GPS unit. We don't need it so she'll get it back. Dh does that for a living so I really think that we are OK there!LOL She wants me to ahve it for when I go to IL tho. I have no idea how lost she thinks I"m going to get given that I've travelled there for the last 15 years!LOL

Then home to the thawed chili I had. I had to bathe Joey and had Mat shower cuz they were FILTHY! And I found out on the way home that my dad had Joey poop on the dirt floor in the barn! It's not a barn near a home so I understood why, but I'd have LOVED to have been a mouse in teh corner while my dad (who does NOT do these types of things) handled the whole situation w/Mr. Helpless!LOL

And that about wraps up today! I'm beat!

Sounds like a great day with your mom! We also have "Vera bonding moments" in my family. My mom, sister and myself are all Vera "collectors" (or addicts, whichever you prefer, LOL). We've never been to the outlet sale, though we're not that far and plan to someday. The best deal we've had so far is 20% off. I also love the microfiber, but I only have one (gala juliet). The rest are various prints. I've already been dropping hints about Mother's Day, so we'll see what happens! :o)
