Bargains!

The bagels are wonderful! But all the carpet stores were closed!LOL We ran to the bulk food store and got the dried fruit for SIL and DH bought a huge thing of cheese--120 slices, I think??? I got some green onion cheese and they had baby swiss on special--YUMMY! As we were wondering around, they made the announcement that baked goods were 1/2 price! So DH got his pumpkin whoopie pies!

Then to Kohl's to find brown shirts. I found a sweater for Joey that was perfect! It's a 7X and I thought he'd swin in it, but he doesn't! WAHOO! Mat's isn't quite as dressy as I'd like, but it will work. I found a cute sweater for me and DH found one for himself. All of these were 80% and we have less than $30 inthem! DH also bought a pair of jeans and new dress shoes--NOT frugal!LOL Mat's been in desperate need of dress shoes for a while so I told DH today was as good as any (I've struck out looking for clearance). We like those leather slip ons that are pretty much unisex anyway and Dh couldn't find any in Mat's size so they wondered off and I ran to the women's section and found some that were perfect! And sadly, his foot is almost as big as mine!LOL But he loves them. DH liked them too and asked where I found them and when Mat was 'testing' them walking down the aisle, I said women's and DH rolled his eyes. I said YOU LOVED THEM UNTIL I SAID THAT! I didn't say it to him, but I have a feeling we'll be needing dress shoes more than I care to think about.:( DH has a suit, but Mat doesn't and I don't want to buy anything prematurely lest he has a growth spurt!
