MIL cancer update

Ok, I talked to SIL while the boys oogled the toys at Walmart. I was calling about the shirt issue since I could find NOTHING brown. She was going to the mall and I told her to just buy something and we'd pay her back. She's a bargain hunter so I"m not concerned. But she did confirm that MIL has ad(r?)endocarcinoma like I suspected and is stage IV. The 50% chance stats of being alive are generous (again, as I suspected). SIL's been snooping online as well and seems on top of this so that was very reassurring. She's definitely up for a family vacation so we've got to get that ball rolling. I told her that we'd do whatever MIL was up for. She said that MIL is waking up hourly drenched in sweat--it's part of the cancer. She's not sleeping at all and tired and cranky (understandably so) and VERY VERY WEAK. MIL wasn't even sure if she'd be able to do family pics and still go to church that evening. So while things are grim, I think there is a game plan and I just need to convince DH that we've got to spend every available minute that we can out there. If not, I guess the boys and I will.

You are doing a great thing spending so much time with your MIL. I will be praying.
