borders class and Vday dinner!!!!!!!

I snagged a friend and I each an electrice blanket today. Good thing as there were 6 left, I got 2 and walked over to get cheap pillowcases for the mission tripadn  walked back by and they were ALL GONE!

Ok, I worked out, showered, cleaned up the kitchen, emptied the dishwasher, got my brows waxed, did Vday shopping, did my borders class, came home and got ready for the Vday dinner, went to that (it was a scream IMO) and now i"m home nad readya for bed!

The party was based c.1945 so they had the jazz band there and oldie songs, and it was pretending to be a live radio show. What they were doing on the set was a RIOT! They had commericials--a man in his 60s was dressed up as Buster Brown w/a stuffed dog (taht later on he and an announcer were trying to teach it to roll over by showing it how!LOL), a lady about 'sped reading' and another one w/a recipe for chocolate water. There were some kind of funny jokes too--(A congregant) was working in an orange juice factory, but got fired cuz he couldn't 'concentrate'!HA HA! As mentioned, the main event was a parody of two farmers--one who was supposed to be my dad!!!!!!!ROTFL! The story was complete w/details that had sound effects made by a very talented gentleman too!LOL But lightening strikes a neighboring farmer's barn adn set it on fire nad his pigs get out (who is also a member) and my dad sees it and calls him and EVENTUALLY offers to help him catch them. After he hangs up from the local coffee shop (you really can see this farm from there), my dad finishes drinking coffee w/his buddies and THEN gets in his truck to help. his truck stalls for some reason and he restarts it, then the tire blows, he gets out to walk (it's less than a mile IRL) and dog starts after him so he gets back in his truck and drives on the blown tire and a man flags him down who is being accosted by a pig. The truck finally completely dies and they get out to walk to the farmer's house and he says, 'thanks for your help. I'm all done now." Then my dad turns and runs as fast as he can back to the coffee shop to finish having coffee w/his buddies!

It doens't sound as funny just typed out, but remember there were sound effects and the pastor was playing my dad and he had used DUCT TAPE for suspendersa nd around his hat! (IWO my dad is cheap!LOL)

Later, during the news broadcast you hear, "And someone over heard Mathias ask his dad if he went to Sunday School when he was little and his dad said yes. To which Mathias replied, probably won't do me any good either."!ROTFL!!!!!!!!!

The food was pretty good too. So I left the house at 9:30 and got home about 9:30 (minus the 30 min I was home to change and clean up the kitchen for a second time).
