![]() Chocolate cheese and VERY SMELLY CHICKENS!LOLOk, I got up at 6:30 and got moving. I worked out and showered. DH told me not to bother since we were going to the poultry farm, but I didn't shower yesterday adn just couldn't not go that long w/o showering!LOL We got the stuff for my mom and I decided not to buy the grapes for fear of them freezing in the van all day. We made it to the cheese place on time and our one hour tour lasted about 10 min! So there we were w/all this time to KILL! By the time they pushed the last group thru it was 10:45 so we just went to eat. I did buy a chocolate almond cheese adn the lady assured us it was good..........we shall see, but I figured I'd never be able to buy chocolate cheese again!LOL We ate at a decent restaurant and still had time to kill so I bought the grapes and paper plates then. The egg facility was AWESOME, but it smelled SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO badly! They split us into 2 groups and unfortunately our guy spoke mainly to the adults and the children sort of ran amuck (not mine--altho they tried), which was kind of bad, but we still got to see it all and it was neat. They process 60,000 DOZEN eggs a DAY and have over 800,000 chickens! It lasted way over an hour and they won't let you see the chickens (for fear of passing the chickens a disease), but we got to see how computers run the place and how the eggs are handled, etc, etc. At the very end they had baby chicks and chocolate chip cookies (huge homemade ones) and free cokes for everyone!!!!!!! (They do not charge for tours.) Of course it smelled so badly that I don't know many adults that ate!LOL The smell about did me in on the hour drive home and the boys came in and stripped and bathed (well not Mat yet cuz he's catching up on timed tests) and ALL the clothes are in the wash except for my coat and Joey's. I odobanned those and my hair!LOL Joey's coat still smells, but it's a pleather one and I don't know what I can do about it. I may try spraying it again. So those field trips are all done and I got some HS business taken care of and have supper planned...........bacon and eggs in honor of the field trip.
