killing time.........

I'm waiting on DH to say whether or not we are going out for supper. He likes to eat out on Sunday and we didn't go out for lunch. I don't have to cook either way, but.........

And it's snowing here. We aren't to get much. I am sure jealous of the Nor'ester that a lot of you go! But DH did burn this brush pile he wanted to so that's crossed off his list. He and Mat are playing Trivial Pursuit Jr. right now.

And my parents are all upset. I didn't even understand what my dad was asking so I was sort of blowing him off, but he wanted to take Mat to the movies. I have very strong opinions about movies and even stronger ones about kids and movies. I have told Mat he's not going to the theater until he's 10. I don't even think I'll be happy about it then, but oh well. I don't want it to be the forbidden fruit either. But my dad made a smart comment and then my mom started in on me and I just refused to answer her. Sounds childish, but I didn't feel like arguing about it right then (I was trying to get my quilt figured out!). So I can't wait for the back lash of all of this......

And the ILs haven't told me when they are coming yet. I'm trying really hard here to roll w/the punches and tell myself that it will all work itself out and there is no need for me to obsess over it. I have a funeral Wednesday, I need to go the grocery sometime and DH doesn't get paid until Thurs and we have NO CASH (well, we have $10, but that's not even going to make a dent in the groceries since we have company!LOL) and I have the HS coop starting Friday and a possible commitment at the cultural center in the afternoon (which means I'd be gone all day on Friday). If there is nothign at the cultural center, then I may grocery shop on Friday and stay home and all day Thursday and clean. I'm going to try to go the library on Tuesday so the kids will be there once this week.

I'm looking over my lesson plans and sort of wish I would've let Mat in my class. But I just have this underlying fear that I'd kill him and I'd have a whole room full of witness and tramatized kids. But if things don't go well in his Narnia study, then I'll move him. I need to talk to that teacher tho. She knows to yank a knot in his chain so that's not an issue . But I think he'd learn alot. I promised him I'd do them w/him at home. I need to have a trial run on some things and it'd be good for him. Hopefully this works!LOL

Ok, off to see how the trivial pursuit game is going......

ROFL about your fear of killing Mat in front of a whole class of kids...I sooo know what you mean! We about gave a kid a heart attack in jr.church once, because he didn't realize that DH and I were Luke's parents. Midway through the lesson, everyone was getting out of hand, but Luke was one of the worst, so DH said, "Come on Luke, we're going out for a spanking." Let me tell you, we had NO more trouble with the rest of the kids, even the ones that KNEW Luke was our son, LOL!
