Sunday........

It was a nice relaxing morning for the most part. Joey got a bath and we played lots of spider solitare--that game ont he computer. Someone wins and then whoever is around, tries to beat their score. Dh has not really done this before so he and I were having quite hte competition most of the weekend. It was a riot!

And, he threw a (new) pair of socks at me and hit me, so I picked them up and eyed the 1.5' deep ledge that's 10' up in the bedroom we were in. He saw me, but didn't get to me in time to stop the launch. He starting to jump on the bed and I started screaming that he was goign to break it (we had the door open and I had been cackling so I'm sure the whole house knew what was going on!LOL) and that he needed to stop. He says something about how it's up to ME to get them down. I told him NO PROBLEM since I had brains and grabbed the stuff for the central vac and drug it back there. I stick the wand up there and knew it caught something, but I didnt' see it, did the same thing the next time. I told DH that he at least see and would know where the socks were. He reached up and pulled a light globe--turns out she had another set of globes for her lights (that blind you cuz they shine straight at your head when you are laying down) and I was sucking the bubble wrap off of them!ROTFL! So he got down a balloon and finally his socks and all was well. I was laughing so hard tho.

And after another bfast of fried prime rib (OMW! THAT IS SO GOOD!) and eggs, we had lunch!LOL MIL found the leftover spinach salad in the frig for me--so I did get something healthy. Unfortunately, I downed all the leftover funeral potatoes as well!LOL

So we got all packed up and had an uneventful trip home (thankfully).

Mat was terribly upset about leaving--he was convinced they were having a NYE party and he would miss it and we kept telling him that there wasn't one. Turns out one of his cousins kept saying that there was. Then he was upset that we couldn't invite MY parents over for NYE and I think he was prepared when I said that daddy and I were not staying up so he went to bed. I think they both got a decent night's sleep last night,b ut it's going to take a couple more nights to make up for it.

And did you notice there was no mention of DH and I NOT sleeping? That's cuz THE DOGS DIDN"T BARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the best we've ever slept there!
