DH had a late night cuz RSIL got this guitar hero for her ds and apparently it's pretty fun and addictive cuz he was out past midnight playing it!LOL NSIL loves it as well. So Saturday morning was fast to come!LOL  And I didn't even go down there Friday night cuz I was so wiped from Thursday! We didn't do much that morning cuz at noon we were having family Christmas on MIL's side. She wasn't responsible for anything big, but there was still some to make. So we all got ready and made it on time. Mat was becoming more of a bear, not because he was staying up late, but because he was getting up 2 hours earlier than usual! And Joey was well on his way to crankiness. We survived lunch and the party w/just a few tears and whining--this year there weren't really any children Mat's age so he was quite bummed (which added to the whininess......). And while there, NSIL said that they were going to mass for her FIL at 4 that day so I told DH that we would be better off doing that than trying to deal w/these boys on Sunday morning and listening to his mom yell at his dad about how late they were going to be, etc, etc. So we went straight from the party to church and it worked out GREAT! The homily was interesting (Father expressed his political views!LOL) and the boys were both very well behaved while there. Joey needed to use the bathroom and I dind't know where they were so DH had to miss communion and I felt badly about it since he very rarely gets to take it. Joey even stood at the end of the pew so that he could shake Father's hand. So we finally make it outside and say goodbye to NSIL nad her family (they were going to spend the night in their hunting cabin and we weren't going to see them anymore) and Father, who has met us many times, mosied over and jokingly asked the boys where they got their red hair. Joey points up to the sky and says, From God. Father stood there, completely speechless and then finally stammered out, Oh.........good answer!ROTFL!!!!!!!!! It was too funny! But whenever the boys ask me why someone has/does something I always point out that God made them that way--just like they have red hair (not common). AND Joey must be paying more attention than I thought at mass (he doesn't see communion at our church) cuz he leaned over and asked me if they had drank His blood yet. I said no and so he said, they haven't eaten the manna either? Nope........LOLSlightly confused, but sort of the right idea!LOL

Then we go back to the ILs and I get undressed!LOL I was tired and just put on PJs. RSIL came down and wanted to go to this cousin's house. MIL had mentioned that she was having an open house (I don't always understand what MIL is trying to tell me....) and that she told her no when we decided to go to church. RSIL said that the 'cousins party' started at 6:30 and it just for everyone to come hang out. So I got dressed again and Dh and RBIL came along as well. We took the big diesel adn that just led to some interesting conversations!LOL We finally found it after a missed road and hadn't planned on staying long--Dh adn I were DEAD from all these late nights! So after a couple of hours, RSIL went to get RBIL from part of the house, but she never came back so DH went after her and then HE never came back--he was playing euchre! So then someone asked if I wanted to play so I just jumped in too!LOL We stayed another 2 hours and had lots of fun. My partner and I got slaughtered and Dh didnt' loose, but I never played him!LOL DH plays a very conversative game and it drives me bonkers! So it was after 1 when we went to bed that night!
