![]() Christmas Eve Eve!LOLIs it time for bed yet?????? HOLY BUCKETS!!!!!!!!! I am BEAT! My brother and his family showed up about 3:30 (mom and dad were here at 2). I had everythign done and ready so it was no big deal. I don't know when the last time that I ate like that was!!!!!!!!!! But we played tons and tons of games and the children all got along well and my sister and BIL came about 9. So we set the air mattress up. DH and I offered that they get that mattress or our room. BUT both of our boys were in our room!ROTFL! And we used those scented all-in-ones from B&BW for the kids! SO YUMMY! Mat loved his peppermint and Joey had chocolate on his body adn caramel corn on his head!LOL They took the air mattress. So about midnight we all go to bed--beat. Apparently my brother's children were up and down alot (Megan actually cried and woke everyone but us up!LOL). Joey was up at 3:30 to use the bathroom--it went well this time.;) The house was pretty disasterous, but w/12 ppl, what was to be expected? I rolled over about 7 and realized that I needed to get bfast started since it takes an hour to bake. Plus Joey had been up for a while and was wanting to go see who else was awake!LOL So he kept my spot in the bed warm while I did that. I crawl back in beda nd hear Mat say, Sorry momma, I wet the bed a little. Ok fine. Undress and I'll get you clean stuff. I get back up and he hands me the wet stuff and I get ready to head down to start the load and DH doesnt' think it's a good idea. Fine. I finally have a moment to go to the bathroom and Mat had peed all over the floor! UGH! So for the THIRD TIME in THREE DAYS, I mopped my bathroom floor........... The early birds were up (and gone in my dad's case to go buy coffee) and things got moving. Then my mom, sister and SIL wanted to play another game (my mom got us this pretty cool game called Five Crowns that we all liked) and we did after bfast. So about 10:15, I get a chance to get in teh shower. The issue was that we were all going different places, but we needed to leave (along w/my parents) for a family Christmas that had conflicted starting times (noon vs. 1). It's 1.15hrs to get there. Again, ppl got packed up and headed out and got ready adn the house went from an F5 to an F1--it was still pretty bad, but we had nothing to do tonight so what did I care? I just had to clear out the kitchen (where you come in from the back door) and vacuum and deal w/a bit of laundry.
So we get to the party (which really started at noon) and ate even more food that we did not need and caught up w/alot of ppl and had a very nice time. I needed grape jelly and ketchup for the meatballs on Monday and was excited to see an Aldi on the way. So we stopped on the way back--never again. I don't mind being a minority, but I was NOT comfy w/the rent-a-cop in the grocery........... But I got the stuff so I"m done.;) We were ALL very tired on the way home and early bedtimes will be enforced!LOL So we walk into the F1 and there on the table is food from AW!!!!!!!! I told Dh that he has got to think that I am the WORST housekeeper on the planet! EVERY TIME he comes here, it's something like this!!!!!!! I'm certain that he had to clear off the spot on the table to set it down--that's how bad it was! So everythign is vacuumed, back in place, I can see most of the kitchen counters (I have leftover lattice bread for Sunday School tomorrow and some goodies to take to teh ILs), and laundry is caught up. In an hour, Joey's going to bed nad I won't be far behind........
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! I can't wait! I almost enjoy it more than Christmas! And we have church adn I'm not sure what will transpire in the afternoon or evening............the boys will get their new PJs tho!
But it was a great time.....................so much fun! Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 989 of 1822 } { Next Page } |
