Christmas night out!

Ok, we just got back from a night out. I was hoping to be more in the Christmas mood, but it's just not there. Doesn't seem like a week until Christmas. No snow, no cold, no nada.

But we went to Texas Roadhouse and DH was like HEY they ahve call ahead seating. I was thinking DUH!!!!!!!! I try to do this and you won't tell me what time we are eating so that I can call!!!!!! I iddn't say it tho. He bought all of the gift cards for his dept tonight so he's done w/that.  It was a nice meal--HUGE! I couldn't eat all of it tho. I did  eat all my salad and mashed potatoes. One roll (that took serious amounts of control!LOL), only 1/2 of my chicken (what Dh didn't eat is in the frig) and a coconut marguarita (crud, that's my calories were so low--I forgot that drink!). OH was that marguarita yummy! Not heavy on tequila at all and WONDERFUL coconut taste! I love coconut!LOL

Then to see the lights. It was OK. It's just not as nice as this other place that's farther away adn Dh refuses to go. Oh well.

I got the mint bark made for tomorrow. Today they asked us to bring treats for after the program tomorrow. Thanks for the notice. I had forgotten that my mom wanted me to grind her some mints anyway. She doesn't want a food processor, but you should've heard her tune when she saw me dump my mints in and they were pulverized in less than a minute. So I got 2 bags, but they only had green ones. Oh well. I made mint almond bark cuz it takes about 5 minutes tops and so that's done, arranged on plates and ready to transport. I've packed up all the candy that they left here to take home, a gift to deliver and need to get the offering ready. It's from Dh's bonus so I've got to run past him to make sure that we agree on amounts!LOL

Then TO BED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joey was up at 5am and I'm dragging a bit. Not complaining tho cuz for the past 3 nights, I HAVE SLEPT!!!!!!!!!! At least 6-7 hours, which is FANTASTIC given the past 2 weeks!!!

Im an early bird, and my youngest is as well.....sometimes I wish it were different & we could sleep in, but I guess we are like your little one, just up and ready to go!
