Frugal Friday

This week for Frugal Fridays, Crystal asked three questions.  I've decided to join in this week and answer them.  Join us if you have time and are interested.

1. What is the best resource for frugality you've found (book, magazine, website, etc.)?

I've always been frugal so it was a somewhat challenge to find something, but the Complete Tightwad Gazette was great!

2. What is the best deal you've gotten recently?

I just purchased some honey--one gallon for $18--GREAT price. I am not one to shop just to shop, but I do check out clearance racks whereever I am and find great deals that way!

3. What is your best idea for a creative and inexpensive gift?

HOMEMADE FOOD! Hands down! It's usually very well recieved! I have bread rising right now to make bread bowls to go w/the pumpkin soup for a meal for a friend. She's getting a bag of milk duds for desert (a joke--she loves them tho). Our neighbors and Sunday School teachers, and other 'influential' ppl in our children's lives get hand made candy and mini chocolate chip banana bread loaves this year for Christmas. Most of these  things cost very little, they do take time, but the actual cost is nothing and they are typically sought after!LOL I occasionally make cheeseballs for gifts as well.
