I'm beyond excited right now!

My DH has agreed to taking a bit of time off soon for FAMILY TIME! He's a workaholic so this is HUGE for him! After much negotiating (and cancelling and re-reserving!LOL), we are going to an indoor water park hotel for 1 night at the end of hte month! We opted to go on a Sunday night since the rate was sooooooooo much cheaper and DH only has to take one day off from work. It's a surprize for the boys and Mat will be totally done w/school for the year by then so this will be PERFECT! Plus we were supposed to do another family vacation in Feb and DH said no so this is sort of replacing it!

And he's taking a half day (yes, I know, but I'll take ANY time he takes off!) to come to the HS coop 'program' ( use that term loosely!LOL) and then we'll head out to his parents for a relative's wedding.

I also found out today that his parents are coming out the 3rd weekend in Feb, NOT the last one so I emailed my dinner party guests and asked them what they wanted to do. It doesn't really matter to me, but I dont' want anyone uncomfortable either. And DH wanted to go to the Farm Show that Friday and his dad would want to go so I told his mom to tell his dad and if they both go, then Mat will want to go and in that case, I need to know because there is an event at hte cultural center Friday and I am not paying if he's not going. Plus it's the 1st day of the HS coop. Hopefully it doesn't look too badly if the director's son bails on the 1st day!

I did make up the class roster last night so that's done. Now, I need to sit down and get my supply list together so I know how much to buy. I'm nervous, but excited about this. I'm teachign Ancient Greece and Rome  and they will be learning the alphabets, proverbs, makign Roman food, an abacus, pottery, a non-paper writing tablet and writing a play that will be 'performed' at the 'program'. I've got some older kids so I WILL have to be on my toes! The upside to the play is that any extra class time (IOW when I plan poorly and run out of things to do!LOL) will be devoted to writing the play.
