Mat and basketball

Mat in the van in reference to the Pacers/NJ game he went to:

Mat: The Nets cheated.

Me: No, they didn't Mat.

Mat: Yes, they did.

Me: Honey, I know you heard them (my cousins that he went w/who are really into sports) say that they cheated, but they didn't.

Mat: Well you know how dimwitted I am about basketball.

Me: Dimwitted?

Mat: Yea, you know stupefied.

Me: (trying really hard not to laugh) Um, ok. He used some really big word int eh next sentence (in context) and it took everything I had not to laugh.

Then he tried to rip his big toenail off and had a mass of bandaids on it. He told me that his blood turned into glue. I explained a bit about platelets and how they work and followed it up w/"I better find those bandaids int he trash." But mom, I wanted to watch the fungus grow on them.

And you should'vve heard me try to tell him taht they are the NICKS and not the NETS (my cousins are deaf and hard to understand at times). He still thinks that they are the Nets......LOL
