Great weekend!

Well the power went out for a minute yesterday and I was just too lazy to turn the ocmputer on so I TOOK A NAP!LOL I wound up making that dip for SIL and I had DH buy a 2nd loaf of cheese (if that's what you want to call it) to put in there. The ppl I talked w/assured me that I wouldn't need to double my recipe--HA! I didn't, but wound up using 1lb of sausage, 16oz of salsa and 4 lbs of cheese, and 1 can of evaporated milk (I was afraid it was going to be too thick). Dh messed w/his truck while I slept!LOL Turns out he sold these wheels (he's been saying he's going to do it for while) and made $60 on them!LOL But he's dumping it all back int he truck. I told him it would make 1.5 truck payments, but he didn't like that idea!LOL We weren't sure exactly how long it would take to get to the party so we left 1.5 hours ahead (it was over an hour, we knew that). So we were there at 5:40ish. The only other person there was SIL's sister. Birthday girl finally showed up at 6:45 and we got to eat!LOL We helped clean upa nd took off and got home about 10:30. Bed felt nice!LOL

And today Joey was up at 6:30! THAT BOY!!!!!!!! I NEED MY SLEEP!LOL But he didn't suck his thumb--he's doing very well! And we all got ready to go. I even remembered my pudding for the sea!LOL And I needed to leave after children's message to set up the room again and the lady doing children's church must be new so I herded the kids my age in there even tho some weren't staying. It was obvious that it was going to be me and Joey again this week. But I did run thru the lesson really quickly w/the felt board for those leaving early and had enuf papers to let them take it home. HOWEVER, the teacher for 1st and 2nd didn't show so I took the 2 boys there (attendance is VERY low this month for some reason!) and WOW! DH wound up staying, which was nice!LOL Unfortunately, he was more of a big kid!LOL We made it thru the lesson and they loved the pudding and Dh ate what was left--I told him that *I* had wanted some!LOL But it worked out well. I just hope there are more kids next week.

And then my brother needed to put hte bed back on his pulling truck so DH was recruited to do that. It always takes longer than anyone plans so we headed home about 3. Dad had to go thru DH's truck cuz my dad is buying a brand spanking new quad cab diesel!!!!! I guess he was feeling left out!LOL They were comparing CHevys (what Dh owns) to Dodges (my dad and brother).

And I cut up a watermelon at Mat's request and it didn't look very good. So I decided to pitch the other two. Of course one burst open and it was a gorgeous red. I debated on whether or not I could scale the gate and beat the pigs to it..........needless to say, it stayed in the pen!LOL

And I dropped off the boys at kid's club. I'll start supper here in a bit and head out to pick them up.

And then I"ll enjoy the next few days where we have very little going on and get to just stay home and RELAX!
