Thursday! I got 2 new bras!LOL

Today has been a HUMDINGER! There was a mtg at Dh's office about his retirement and he wanted me to go. Fine. I get my dad to agree to watch the boys. That's a bit shaky, but they are old enuf to handle him!ROTFL! Dad was here on time and I had worked out and showered and was getting ready. I asked my dad to check the oven ignitor cuz DH was pretty sure that was the part that was bad nad dad had brought his resistor measurer (I'm certaint that that is NOT hte technical term!LOL). He didn't understand that I needed it done THEN!LOL I finally got him to do that nad tell me that it was inconclusive cuz he wasn't sure if it needed a heat sourse or not. THANKS!LOL I got Joey a piece of toast, had the coffee pot filled w/hot water and showed dad where the coffee singles and splenda was (he's a sweetner kind of guy!LOL) adn left. I made it to the post office (Linda--$21.37 please!LOL) and the 'asst' was there. Very nice man. SLower than molasses and triple checks EVERYTHING!LOL I did make it to the meeting on time and DH offered to get me a drink! WOW! This is HUGE for him! I asked if there would be food. NO. Shoot. We walked in and there were donuts! I can not tell you the last tim eI had a doughnut!LOL The meeting was nothing spectacular, BUT she did go over what the offered and that was nice. Dh brought in his laptop w/wireless internet and everyone was thrilled cuz this lady sat down adn went over everyone's individual accts with them!!!! US INCLUDED!LOL And I'm in denial that DH is getting closer (in relative terms!LOL) to retirement!LOL I was debating between the most agressive and 2nd most aggressive plan!LOL The lady said that despite the fact that we have done NOTHING to manage our own plan to this point, that we had done very well!LOL BUt this other plan was fashioned exactly for ppl like us so we took it. Meanwhile Dh has spilled a pepsi all over his laptop.........

Then off for the rest of my errands. I called the appliance place and had to call DH back cuz they had to order it, blah, blah. $72 special purchase for the ignitor. I returned the shelf brackets to Lowe's and got $1.10 back. The cashier told me I could buy something at McD's for that!LOL Oh well, it was our dollar and we wanted it back!LOL I did buy grub killer. I hate doing this, but I have GOT to figure out how to get those japanese beetles under control next year. And I priced new stoves just in case this was going to get out of hand to fix this one. It's getting fixed!LOL

I called my dad at this point to see how Mat's school was going. I had told Mat last night and left a note this morning. My dad hestitated and then stalled........uhhhhhhhhhh, school? I forgot all about that. Ooooooohhhhhh shocking dad. That's ok. Where are you at anyway? Dairy Queen. Thinking: Well they are getting food so that's good. I have no idea WHERE since there isn't really a DQ around here, but he was going to look at a tractor so I guess it was along the way there.

Then to Goodwill and decided to have Long John Silver's for lunch. I like that place and very rarely eat there so it was quite the treat for me. Plus I love A&W root beer! Ahhhhhh, then to the mall to claim my free VS undies. By now, my phone had just been ringing off the hook and if my dad didn't have the boys I'd have just shut it off. I THINK IT"S RUDE! I tried getting the ringign to stop as I was checking out at VS and none ofthe buttons were working so I answered. It was the neighbor telling me that she had seen a black S10 and it was gone and the garage door was open. Ok, that was my dad and yes, please shut the door. Hey, I didn't know stupider truck was white, too? (she really said that!LOL) Yup sure is!LOL Then the magnetic draw of Dillard's pulled me in. I check their bra clearance rack. And I realized that I dind't havea the kids so I got fitted! I'm in between sizes which is frustrating, BUT they had 2 bras in MY STYLE on the 75% off rack!!!!!!! This is a $56 bra! I got them for $14. Granted they are mint green and light purple, but hey! THEY FIT!!!!! I was over the moon! Now for the one on ebay to get  here and i"ll be set! I was also stunned to see hanging on their dressing room was a sign about bras. IT said that they are made to last 3-6 MONTHS! I was like WHAT????? MONTHS! I want mine to last 3-6 YEARS!LOL But it was an interesting read and I did learn a couple of things. And my dad called during the bra fitting. He was very concerned about the oven!LOL

Then to my last 2 stops of hte day. I was doing great on time, too. The bread store had BOGO on their .59 table and I was excitedly hoping that my AUnt MIllie honey wheat bagles would be there, but no dice. They had a whole bunch of others so I got 2 kinds to try and 2 pkgs of brown and serve buns and a 12 grain bread. I commented on the store rearrangement and the lady said it had been that way for 3 week sand that I must not have been in there for a while. I said I usually only make it here every couple of months. She said she was sure i was in here more than that. I was thinking that I had never laid eyes on her before.......I don't know if she had me confused w/someone else or not. I'm not usually confused w/other ppl tho.......LOL

Then to the beauty college where I got my eyebrows waxed. By someone who knew what they were doing. Bliss..... DH called while I was there to inform me that the appliance store we were going to use closes at noon on Thursdays. It was 1:20. Can I find a phone book and call around in the town I'm in and see if anyone has one. Sure. I got one from the beauty college and was only able to get one place, and they could order it today and it would be in tomorrow and it was only $67 (same part as the other store). Ok, let me see if my DH will be in town tomorrow to get it.

I FINALLY arrived home and got unloaded and walked in and nearly dropped everything when I saw what JOey had on. I realized that I did not dress him and that Mat probably had. (My dad had to make sure that Mat could put Joey in his booster seat before I left.) I got the house straightened up and found out that Mat STILL hadn't started school and dad was still obsessing about the oven part to the point that I just had him call the appliance store and talk to them himself!LOL Naturally he discovered that he was right and it was a bad part so he hung up. I said DAD I NEEDED FOR THEM TO GET IT ORDERED--WHY DID YOU HANG UP???????? Ohhhhhhh..........LOL SO I called back and got it ordered.

I really hope taht's all that's wrong. It's easily fixable and I oculd have an oven by tomorrow.

Tonight is chili since I can make it on the stove top. I think tomorrow I just might put pork chops in teh crock pot so dinner will be covered.
