WOW! Was it ever a GREAT day!!!!!! We headed out in slightly casual ware since we were going to be out and about all day after church. But church was great and I got asked to be the preschool teacher. UGH! I help teach our class, but I have never taught a children's class so I didn't want to say no. Never mind that I"m HSling and teaching 3 classes at the coop for the next 6 weeks. I'm going to be  sick of teaching!LOL But they handed me a ready made cirriculum w/everything I need so I'm hopeful. I may ask DH to trade off/help me too. He loves that kind  of thing (he's got a teaching degree--secondary ag ed, but hey!LOL). Mat was very sad taht he couldn't go to get the new truck w/daddy so I told him we'd do something fun w/grammy. She said something aobut going ot the hospital and I was OK, nice joke. Her friend is int he hospital still. We meet my sister at Subway and watched them eat!LOL They were heading back to his parents cuz his brother is back from war for 2 weeks. Then we head to this new mexican restaurant. No Taco Bell since my DH is not here! The boys were great at Subway tho, given that they were starving and had food waving under their noses!LOL But this new mexican place is SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Of course, it's been ages since I"ve been anywhere like that to eat so maybe not?LOL I'm going to try to talk DH into trying it ina  few weeks.

So, then WHEN WE REALLY DO GO TO THE HOSPITAL! Nothing wrong w/that. I told the boys the ground rules and that we'd do something fun after that. We got there to visit hte 70yo lady and 2 other ladies were there (older). The lady's face when she saw the boys was PRICELESS. She was so happy to see them! That was worth it alone. Then the other 2 ladies saw them and started talking to them. You see, the children's message was about finding someone w/experience (and that means they usually have gray hair) and talking to them. They asked Joey about Children's Message. He usually does something  to make everyone smile (not me!LOL). This time the lady doing the message was in a rush I guess. We sit in the balcony and the stairwells are sort of closed off and not even in the santuary. But apparently the microphones work cuz JOey heard her say, Only 3 today ? (we usually have 20-30) and Joey yelled while going  down the stairs--WAIT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!ROTFL! My mom's friend (who also happened to be Mat's prayer partner last year) loved hearing it. And everyone was talking to everyone and a lady came in to discuss rehab, etc. Then the lady's cell phone rang so we left the room so she could talk (the other 2 ladies were gone by now). On the way back, mom told the boys to tell her goodbye and then we'd be going. THEY BOTH PROTESTED! NEITHER WANTED TO LEAVE THE HOSPITAL!ROTFL!!!!!!! Mat said he wasn't done talking to Aunt Sally. I told mom that she can'teven get up and go to the bathroom so Mat had a captive audience!ROTFL!

But we did eventually leave and the boys just played at my parent's house.

And Mat didn't want to do school. ANd we usually don't on SUnday, but he didn't take his math test on Sat and since it's an hour drive to church, I told him to take 10 min and do it. BUT  I WANT TO READ MOM. Dare I point anything out?LOL NO! So we get home from my mom's about 7pm and I picked the apple (yes, one is all we got this year!LOL) and 5 pears. Then I moved to the garden and JOey and I cleaned out the cucumber vines, banana peppers and the water split 4 cantaloupe so the pigs got that too. I did get onea nd it's cleaned and cut up--YUMMY!

Meanwhile, Mat wanted to make a cocoon box. Fine, no school eh? Then the moon was visible and MOM! We need to get Joey's telescope and look at that gibbous moon. No school,eh?LOL We did get a great shot of it w/his telescoe tho! Mat's has a moon filterso I"m dying to see what the difference is!
