over 100lbs of tomatoes!

YIPPEE!!!!!!!! I only wanted 100, but there shouldn't be too much over 125. We've got about 4.5 five gallon buckets and there is about 25lbs per bucket. And I've gotten everything drug up from the basement--big aluminum roasting pans (what I keep my cut tomatoes in), stock pots and victorio strainer. The onions are chopped and ready to go as well. I just bought a jar of preminced garlic (no one boo me!LOL) cuz I didn't have time to go to the other store and buy bulbs. And I cna't ever figure out hte right time to harvest my own. So about 15 minutes of prep in the morning and I'll be cleaning tomatoes! My hand really hurts tho--where the acid ate the skin away. I'm not looking forward to that. But when I told Joey we were making spaghetti sauce (his all time fav), it was worth it. Plus the boys were EXCELLENT help! Joey did his usual job of running the nasties to the pigs. He even thanks us for giving them to him!ROTFL! Mat was all decked out down to gloves so he was digging right in and pulling them out.

I'm ever so grateful for that manure. It's the only way we were able to even get in the garden tonight cuz it's so wet. But it's only supposed to keep raining all weekend so it was now or never!

That sounds great! I was to do some today, but ended up only doing juice instead. Aidan woke up sick and I have some errands to run today, so there was no time for simmering. Can you pm me your recipe? I don't really have a good one, the last batch didn't turn out italian enough.
