Canning and trucks

I talked to DH about canning 1 batch of his salsa in qts. He doesn't want to, but we are VERY short on pint jars and have lots of qts. When the boys are bigger, this will be great, but for now, canning in pints is far more beneficial. He said that he didnt' really want to, but I explained to him that salsa in the frig will last for months and sauce will not. Plus it would slash processing another batch tonight. Which means I should be able to get all 5 batches done tonight!!!!!!!! WAHOO! Salsa would be finished! I'm not a big fan of dicing all those tomatoes!LOL We'll need more tomatoes, but that's OK. They need to be used.

He also called about the truck. He took my advice and called the bank to get the loan process going. I *think* this means he's going to want to buy the truck this weekend. I asked if he was taking my dad. He wants all of us to go up. I asked him if he had thought that thru very well. Not really, why? Do you realize that will be 12ish hours on the road for ALL of us??????? 5 hours up there, time to buy and eat lunch, 5 hours home. Oh, he says..........so I don't know. Maybe we should see if my parents want hte boys. My mom is just dead from helping her friend tho and needs to rest badly. My sister will be out of town so she can't help. Mat wouldn't be an issue and could easily take care of himself,b ut Joey is a bit different.
