![]() Sunday--Birthday Party Day!It was so great to see my boys again! I got to see them at the Fair, but it was nice to have them home safe and sound too! So Sunday morning was odd w/o going to church, but it was full of activity as we got things set up. DH went to town for ice for the ice cream and I got busy finishing prepping food. The boys decorated their cakes and we got all the tables and umbrellas and everything set up outside as well. I was really surprized at what ppl chose to eat. The hard boiled eggs were gone lickety split! The watermelon was almost gone, the carrots were almost gone, but the cukes and tomatoes really didn't get touched much. There were only 4 brats and 4 dogs left and MY family snarfed down those .10 buns! I bought 2 packs thinking it was plenty for 12 adults. Eight of them ate all 16!!!!!!!! I had to run in and get the loaf of bread to make up for that! There were some chips and dip left and a bit of ice cream. They ate about 3/4 of the ice cream, which is good. And most of hte cakes are gone. We have enuf to stick the candle back in one tonight and sing to Joey since today is his 'real' bday. And the boys loved their gifts! Mat got a basketball and they played alot w/that (when they weren't in teh pool). And they have both used Joey's telescope. I haven't braved tryign to put Mat's together and setting it up. But we have surveyed our neighbor's barn w/Joey's!LOL I don't know what else they got. I haven't even seen what they got from the ILs yet!LOL I know Mat got a bug vacuum and they have a tadpole habitat, but can't find the paper to send in for the 'free' tadpole. ANd the remote control flying UFO is pretty neat too. I found Mat this mornign sitting in his mushroom chair so I assume he likes taht too!LOL Joey just seemed happy to be there, which was nice. He woke me up this morning saying "I want my black bag" In my fog, I thought he meant a gift in a black gift bag and there was none. Then I realized he wanted his TELESCOPE which is stored in a black case/bag. My family stayed long enuf for supper so I got everything back out and made another package of brats and we called it supper!LOL Most ppl took some veggies along w/them so that was nice. MIL was looking forward to making pickles and SIL took a little of everythign!LOL But I think Dh and I are both glad the weekend is over! IT's usually alot of fun, but it's also very draining.
