![]() We canned our relish! For some reason it didn't turn out like it should have tho! It's really soupy and that's with using MORE cukes than I should have!:( Oh well, I'm sure it's still edible--we just might have to drain it first. And the stuffed peppers actually went over quite well. None of us ate the peppers, but Dh and Mat split the 5th one! So that's a nice recipe to do when they are in season. Tonight I'm using the rest of hte potatoes for mashed potatoes to go w/the oh so tasty encor meal. I've got to get my act together tho. I *think* I may clean the house tomorrow after I get back from dropping the boys off (I'm trying ot block that out completely). I want to vacuum out the van too. Then I need to make a detailed grocery list for the party food. I need for Dh to tell me WHICH DAY he wants to stain (either Thurs or Fri) so I can plan the rest of my life. My sister did loan me the DVD The Notebook so I will have something to do for some down time. I think I'm going to make and ice the cakes on Saturday. Does anyone know if I can cut up the melons on Saturday and keep them in bowl in the frig. I'll keep the watermelon (empty) 'bowl' in the frig too--but that would eliminate the juice from sogging things up??????? I'd just like to have as much done as possible. We'll leave about noon (I'm assumgin) for the Fair and we'll get home at midnight and the party is at noon on Sunday. Doesn't give me a whole lot of time on Sunday morning. But the food itself will be easy--grill dogs and brats, open bag of chips, I'll peel the hard boiled eggs on Saturday, cut tomatoes and set up. Sometime I have to get DH to drag downt he tablea nd I need to wash that and the chairs off. And we have to make all the ice cream. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 1338 of 1816 } { Next Page } |
