Fun Friday at the State Fair!

Ok, I'm TIRED! Thursday was very nice. We wound up leaving earlier than I had planned cuz of storms and my dad wasn't around!LOL He finally came when my mom did and I went to visit my friend for a while. It was really nice to sit and talk w/her! Then I left for the Arbonne party, and again, had a great time. I loved being able to TRY the products! Unfortunatelly, they made me talk about what I use!LOL I did make some sales for her tho.;) Then back to get the boys in bed at my parent's and then to my sister's where I was staying. I managed to get a good night's sleep in and snuck out early the next morning. Joey was up and mom had started bfast for him and Mat got up a bit later. I watched the news to verify that hte rain was on it's way out and it was. So I called and woke my sister up!LOL We all got situated and my dad decided to go as well. Mat rode down w/him and Bil took himself cuz he needed to go to work after the Fair. But the State Fair was a BLAST! Of course I love the place!LOL BIL got there early (cuz I stopped and got our deck stain) so he got the boys registered to fish. They loved that. We spent 2 hours at hte DNR area alone!LOL But we did all the fun stuff and I got my Wisconsin cheese and elephant ear and orange shake up so I was happy!LOL We did spend $27.50 on food tho! Even worse, $15 of that was MINE!LOL We rode the shuttle a couple of times too. The boys were great. Not much fussing out of them and not ONCE did Mat whine or even ASK to ride a ride! I told him up front NO RIDES. But we were there 6 hours and were exhausted by the time we left. We didnt' find my friend's dd's cookies tho.:( We saw the world's largest boar and 2nd largest and the sow w/the biggest litter. Cute little things! We got back to my parent's and let the boys play w/their cousin for a minute and took off for home. Some wired got crossed and unfortunately, DH had to leave before we got home (we met him for a minute tho) so the boys didn't get to see him really yesterday. He went to a truck pull and the boys were too tired and way too dirty. So as soon as we got home, I got them supper, bathed and off to bed.

Oh I did loose Joey. We were in one of the kid areas (my sister was doing archery w/Mat in another building) and Joey wanted to spin this wheel. And the guy was explaining to me that they have to answer all these questions on this sheet of paper--not even 30 seconds. I look and Joey was GONE. I look out the door and went to these other play structures he'd been on (this was inside) and nope. I was running by this point and asked the guy (who was lookign to see if I found him) if he saw which direction he went. What did he have on? I'm thinking FLAMING RED HAIR, but said a gray shirt. It was obvious that he was just going to stand there, but he pointed somewhere and I saw another tractor and went there and sure enuf, there Joey sat. The guy saw that I found him so I settled my nerves and then stuck my head in and told him he has to ask before he takes off to play!!!! He's never done that before and never really been in the situation that something like this would arise so I really couldn't blame him.

So I crawled in bed and kept sending Mat to his bed. He kept comign in to see if DH was home. NO NO NO! DADDY WILL COME SEE YOU WHEN HE GETS IN! NOW STAY IN BED!LOL

But sleep never comes easy for me when Dh is gone so I was up until at least midnight. DH got in at 1:30 from the pull. He had to work today too. So I finally got up and got moving (Joey and I played a few rounds of matching, which allowed me to linger in bed!LOL) and decided taht I had such a piddly amt of peaches that it wasn't worth it to freezer them or try canning. I froze 1 peach pie (ready to put in the oven) and 2 peach cobblers (not the cobbler part tho). I had 4 bananas that needed used on the same page in my big binder was a recipe for black bottom banana cake. It took 3 bananas. I told the boys someone had to eat the other one today!LOL So I have that ready for the freezer. Then I tackled the ginormous zucchini. I seriously couldn't made TWELVE loaves of zucchini bread out of it. Instead, I made 4 (well the last 2 are baking) and sauted the rest. I had it for lunch (my entire lunch), DH had a small portion and there is another lunch out of it for me as well. IT was huge. The upside is that I have all 4 loaves of bread for something!LOL I only have 2 bread pan so 2 are bread pan adn 2 are in a bundt pan.The 2 bundt pan loaves will go to Sunday School treats (altho we aren't staying) and for the family reunion. We are onlly goign to be there from 11-12 and we are eating at my niece's bday party so I'm jsut taking that instead of 'food'. One the boys want to eat and one is goign to the ILs w/the boys. I'm seriously contemplating sending that black bottom banana cake as well.

And the kitche is all cleaned up and DH is home from work and mowing. I need to figure out supper, cut the boys hair and get a shower. Then I can go to bed and hopefully get a good night's sleep. I bagged my niece's gift a couple of weeks ago and have the Nemo mylar balloon to give to my sister so I think I'm all ready for tomorrow except for packing up the clothes for the party.

Oh yea, MIL called in the midst of the chaos (Did I mention that Mat was doing schoola nd Joey decided to do school as well??????) and asked where to meet on Tuesday. Ummmm, not Tues, Wed. Oh yes, WEd. WHEW! SO we got that set up and arranged. I'd say I'll miss the boys terrible, but I'm goign to be so stinking busy that I'm not sure that I"ll know that they are gone!
