Whew!

Ilona~if you had half a nice of time last night as I did, then you had a blast!

I'm here. The last 24 hours have been a WHIRLWIND!

We had dinner guests last night so I had the house cleaned and laundry adn stuff done. We left for town at 12:15 went to 8 different places and got home at 4:15. I shucked the corn and the collision guy was here w/Dh's truck. I picke dthe peaches and made the cobbler and they were HERE! They got here at 6 and stayed until nearly 11! She was saying that her DH must be having a nice time cuz usually he gives her 'the nod' and she hadn't seen one yet. that was about 8:30-9. Imagine my shock when I hear him ask if we want to play euchre!!! We sent the kids downstairs to watch Charlotte's Web and we played 2 games. It awas fun! I hadn't played in ages! We had a ton of food tho. I didn't get set menu until I went to town!LOL We had grilled pork steaks, baked potato, corn on the cobb, salad and peach cobbler. I made 8 ears cuz there were 7 of us and only 3 were eaten! Mat ate NONE! I was STUNNED! He usually eats 2, but he was too busy wanting to play.;)

He and their child got in trouble for playing baseball w/the peaches! They were just picking them and one would pitch to the other!ROTFL!!!!!!! Joey was very tired, but a good sport.

And Joey's reading astounds me everyday! In town yesterday, he read the sign saying "Hope House Car Wash". Today he read us a Clifford book!

And I went to the beauty college today. Got my pedicure and wax. The lady had never met a HSler before so I was apparently quite the novelty. I realize I don't often have alot in common w/the ppl there, but sometimes I am amazed at the naivety (sp?) they have!

Oh and God must've thought I needed a boost today. Almost EVERYONE commented on my hair today! At the beauty college, they were IN DEPTH conversations about it! None of them could believe is was all natural!

And then I went shopping.......not something I do often. But I got 3 cute tops ate Elder Beerman for $12. A cute pair of shoes at Payless for $5. I thought I was doing very well. Then I went to Shoebilee!LOL I wanted a replacement for my Nike flip flops (they are SOOOOOOO comfy!) and I knew it would be $20 for those and it was. But I found another pair of chunky sandals that I liked and since I just donated about 1/2 my shoes, I got those too.

I came home and Mat had caught a lizard!!!!!!!!! YES A LIZARD! I don't know how long he'll keep it, but he assured me he knew how to keep it alive. I know he wants to show someone before he releases it.

And I talked to my brother. I think he really wants me to come to the truck pull. DH almost always goes and this pull is about as close to us as they get and I actually WANTED to go. I got the feeling from my brother that I should go.  They aren't really my cup of tea in this heat but having him as a puller certainly does make it more interesting. So I get myself all pysched up for that and then remember that Joey was up almost 3 hours past his beddtime last night!:( I told him that if he wanted to go, he had to take a nap. So I let him watch Noggin in the basement, but made him lay down to do it!LOL

Ok, I think that's about it here!LOL

I'm glad to hear you had a great time! I had fun too, we should have barbecues more often : ) Though it wasn't quite as fun looking at the piles and piles of dirty dishes afterwards... But it was definately worth it!
