Whew........

The block party last night was fun! I ate too much, but oh well. They had those inflatable bouncy things so the kids played for almost 2 hours and were beat! DH did his PR rounds and we stayed in the shade. They had a 'booth' that measured MPH for throwing. I got 40--that beat the high for the 'old woman' catergory, but they didn't put my name down!LOL Which was fine. i wasn't sure that I wanted placed in the old woman catergory!ROTFL!  Then home where I tried to trim mow. The primer piece was off so DH fixed that and then it ran out of gas and all I had left was the swimset to mow around. I left it on the steps!LOL He filled it and mowed some more. Today he just has to ride mow, so I don't feel much pity for him. We may paint tonight. They aren't called for rain. And I need to check the garden adn fruit trees. I'm not sure when the peaches are normally ready,b ut they have turned color so I'm thinking it should be soon. I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!! i'm giving AWW as much as she wants and then my family--they'll get doled out to friends after that!LOL I've had lots of requests and as long as DH helps me pick, it'll be fine.

Ok, I told the boys about taking the toys to the basement and Mat has staretd w/o me !I need to scoot! That will let me move the computer desk we bought Mat in therea nd hten maybe DH will get serious. I still haven't ordered Mat's history program...... ANd that will make room for the mushroom chair. The toys in one box are getting sorted before going down. Trash and donate. It's the 'miscellaneous' box so it's sort of a free for all. I'm goign to be merciless too and i'd like to see half of it GONE!

Update:

We've got it DONE! It took a lot longer than I thought, but it's all sorted and in basement! I've got the computer desk in Mat's bedroom and about a kitchen size bag of trash and one to donate (plus some bigger learning-to-walk toys). I've got to figure out where to take the donations. Alot of that is in great shape and all the pieces. I don't know if the library would want anything like what I've got or not.

I got a little lip from Mat, but I told him that I am doing this as a favor to HIM. If it were up to me, half of it would be in the trash. He got back to work!LOL But his room is soooooooooooo nice. I pointed out that cleaning his room will now be a BREEZE. Plus this puts my notion of getting both boys in one bedroom in gear.  And it should be easy to keep the basement clean (vs. his bedroom). All those plastic tubs are out in sight instead of under the bed. I told Mat to clean a big plastic tub (that housed his snake) for his dinosaurs (this would free up 3 smaller tubs) and he came inside saying that he ran his foot thru it! I told him taht he would not get an allowance for the next 6 weeks ($6 total) to pay for a new one. I don't think I'm buying a new one tho. If I swap out some of Joey's clothes and ship out the small stuff, i should have a big container for them. But Mat still need sto pay for the one he broke.

Ok, maybe I'll get my shower this afternoon!LOL
