Fri & Sat of our vacation

Well the trip down there was fun. I'll admit the cell phones helped that. My mom and dad had to drive seperate and my sister and BIL were another vehicle and us so w/4 vehicles it was very interesting! My brother and his wife were already down there cuz they went to Holiday World prior to the houseboat. We were naturally the last to get there, but we all boarded and room assignments were fun. This is the room Mat and I got:

Note the space between my head and the ceiling. Let me help you: NONE!!!!!!! I was the only adult willing to sleep down there. This is in the 'bottom' of the boat. There is a room across from it, but they had a partial ceiling and could very easily stand up. My dad claimed that room adn Dh adn I were dissappointed cuz we'd have put the boys in the 'short' room and we could've been in the big one. Instead, Dh and Joey got a room upstairs that was nice. My dad thought this out the next day and Dh refused to move at that point cuz everything was thrown, wait, I mean, unpacked everywhere. It took a while to get a run down on the boat, but we finally got to our 'home' on the water and and shored up and pizza was started for supper. We all finally got to bed and I started freaking out. That room and the location (down) were too much for me. Mat was tossing and turning and after how many hours, I crawled upstairs to sleep on the floor in the dining area (between the chairs and a big tub--there was no wiggle room). That didn't help and Mat was still awake. I finally blew a gasket very early in the morning (Mat and I still had not slept) and ordered him to the bed. I think we got about 2 hours that night. And Saturday was our family's day to cook. OH JOY.  I think everyone was up about 7 and we made bacon and eggs. I was very tired and cranky and really wondering what I had gotten myself into. THEN the reality of my brother, who became the boat nazi, was trying to tell us that we had to urinate ONLY in the lake. WHAT?? NO! I was not hanging off the edge of the boat for that! I didnt' care if all the males did, but I was NOT! And no showers!!!!!!!!! The kids got showers one night (and probably his kids again another night after we left) and that was IT! And they didn't run the AC much. I guess that was my saving grace in going. Having the AC on. But nope, that cost gas money so it was out of the question. Oh we did run it more as time went on, but those 1st 2 days, I was wondering what I had gotten myself into! I am NOT a lake person adn got SUPER hot on Sat in that floating tin can in 95+ degree heat. Did I mention that I was VERY tired? So I got nice and crabby that day. We had our mexican feast that night too. But in the day, DH went jet skiing:

Isnt' he hot?;0

During the day, we also tried out the slide:

Notice those sunglasses? That was the last time they were seen..........

I'll spare you the pics of the rest of the men going down them!LOL

And I read the 1st book in my trilogy.

I sure am glad you're back! The place was just not the same without you. I knew yall were going to have a blast. I can see from the pics that you did! I don't know...call me stupid, but I can't remember reading WHERE yall went!! It kinda looks like Tennessee. That houseboat is way cool. It must've been a big one to hold all of you guys. What fun!
