Dryer??

01:27, 2006-Jun-12 .. Posted in daily life .. 3 comments .. Link
I'm getting close to being of the mind that dryers are the most useless appliance there is. They suck electricity, are very hard on your clothes and really don't serve much use unless you are in an absolute pinch. We bought a new washer 1.5 years ago and I LOVE it and didn't even bother w/the dryer. Mine hasn't been used all that much anyway!LOL It works for 'in a pinch' and I really prefer to dry things in the air.

Dryers

Well, I have a gas one and it doesn't "suck" that much enery --- but it's nice when the wind is blowing 90 mph and it's 300º below zero --- but on a day like today - 75º and little wind - it's nice to use the clothes line!

I haven't owned a dryer in over 20 years. I so have a electric washer. I hang my clothes outside from early spring until late fall. During the winter months, when we get -40 weather, I dry them inside on clothesracks.

Our line is very close to where the horses ( roam back and forth, eat all the grass and poop. The wind blows the dust over it and sooooo... Someday I will hang dry my stuff. The dryer heats up the house too much! :)
