lawn mowers..........

Well the fun never ends here. I went out to check on the lawn status cuz I hadn't seen DH in a bit and the lawn tractor was shooting massive amts of smoke. I'm no mechanic, but I knew that wasn't good. He said it's leaking lots of oil and it's broken. The upside is that he had all the 'trim' mowing w/that donea nd is now pulling the wing attachment w/the mule so the yard will get mowed. Just much slower than we anticipates. If things go well, my mom will watch the boys most of Sat and he can figure out what's wrong w/it while no one is here. He has to work, but he would still have tomorrow night to look at it, Friday to get the parts nad Sat to fix it.

We had planned on getting a new mower at the end of the season. Our neighbor (the one w/5 kids) said his dad owns/knows/whatever a dealer taht sells zero turn mowers (the kind I begged DH to buy 6 years ago when we bought this one and he said it was nonsense......). And that they sell off the demos cheap and we can get one for $1500. That is THOUSANDS off and we don't care that it's a demo that ppl have sat on in the showroom. So hopefully he can fix this and we'll nurse it along until then.

We just got one of those mowers like you mentioned at the end of last Summer. Mowing 4 acres was just getting to be too much with the smaller mower. This is our first season to use it and we love it!
