Let the canning begin!

Well I did it! I started canning today. I canned 8 pints of pickled beets and have 4 pints of peeled and diced beets in the frig (I harvested too many.;)) And that's all the beets that I plan on canning. I'm going to pick some to sell for tomorrow.

I'm also about halfway thru laundry. I simply forgot I was doing it w/all the beet canning!ROTFL! So now I've showered and cleaned up the kitchen and still have discolored fingernails from the beets, but that's OK. This too shall pass!ROTFL!

Hi! I was just reading over your Canning entry and saw your recently read books and noticed Sanctuary on your list. I just read that too.. finished it about 2 weeks ago.. I am also reading some of her series books.. I LOVE her Amish based stories.. have you read any others by her?
