I also stopped and talked to our carpenter neighbor. He has his gchildren over and I wanted him to be away of hte wild boar. He told me more! Turns out there are several woods around our home in varying degrees. They have split the herd up once (not intentionally--just trying to kill them) so they do actually surround ALL the woods in our home. They shoudl NOT be a major threat to us at this point as we are far enuf away not to pose as an aggressor to them. There is enuf vegatation that food should not drive them too near our home. But we still need to exercise caution.
