We have been as busy as ever on the homestead this weekend. It is hard to believe it is November. We juiced some of the tomatoes that were ripening in cold storage and turned them into BBQ sauce. We made some apple sauce and then some apple cider. In fact we got another 6 gallons of cider. That makes a total of about 20 gallons of cider we have made this fall. The kids and I also packed apples into the cold storage. We picked the best apples of the late varieties and wrapped each in newspaper and put them in wooden crates. It will be interesting to see how long they keep. I also helped DH put up the last beam in the barn to support the top floor which will be for hay storage. The kids and I went to the local craft fair and looked around. I also read for awhile. I have been working on a new series of Christian novels and I am completely engrossed in them. I like to work a little and then read a little. Tomorrow is DH's and my anniversary. We have been married 12 years. I am going to make a nice dinner tonight which twice baked potatoes, steaks, asparagus, and cream cheese cherry parfaits. It should be real special. Our tradition is that we always set our goals for the next year during our anniversary dinner, so we will also be doing that.
