Camping Trip

We are anxiously getting ready for our annual camping trip.  Sometimes I think it is more work than it is fun, but everyone is really excited.  I am packaging up jars of rice, beans, flour, sweetener, vinegar, and milk along with mixing my own pancakes, cornbread, and biscuits.  I love to cook and bake over the camp fire.  In fact, we will be gone for 4 days and we will only use a camp fire.  Our modern conveniences are limited to showers and light from flashlights.  We are taking our raft and will enjoy floating down the river and fishing as we go.  In the evenings we will sing songs, watch the campfire, and maybe even pop some popcorn.  I'll let you know how it all turns out.

Where do you camp? When my kids were growing up my sister and I did a lot of camping - mostly on the OR and CA coast. We loved hiking and campfires in the evenings.
Pray you have a good time -

We camped outside of a town called Elkton on the Umpqua River. The location is well known for its Bass fishing. The campground is not great but you can see the river and the river offers hours of fun.
