On my last entry a question was asked about how many people I am feeding for my $900. I am feeding 3 adults and 2 children, plus additional adults that are sometimes in our home. This amount does not include the meat we butcher ourselves or what we get from our garden and canning. We eat well, but most of what I cook is from scratch and very little is pre-packaged. We also eat almost all organic or all natural. My husband is a large man who requires meat at every meal and our children also are big eaters. DH put up a laundry line for me a few weeks ago and I am loving it. With the hot weather we are having I haven't wanted to heat up the house with the dryer. I can dry 3-4 loads per day on the line. I am re-directing energy to cooling the house! I put up 13 bags of spinach yesterday. I had to buy spinach at the farmer's market because mine never came up. I am going to try for a fall crop. Well, were having a BBQ with some friends today, so I am off to visit.
