Getting old

Our new years eve was quite commical, if I must say.  New Years Eve was always fun and exciting for us...until now.  My hubby and I wanted to go our to Olive Garden and use our gift certificate we have seeing we have to button down the hatches and try to make ends meat till I start working.  This added car payment is not in the budget and we will have to be VERY careful for the next 6 months.   Anyway, we went to Olive Garden, ate till we practically rolled out of there and then said "what do we do now".  We were invited over somewhere to hang out and play games...sounds like fun right?  Sure did, and part of me wanted to go (the young part).  But the other part of me said "I'm so full and kind of tired, lets just fo home and watch a movie. (that was the old part!)  So hubby and I went home and watched Over the Hedge.  Then we went to bed around 11pm. Pretty pathetic huh?  LOL

We woke today, Happy New Year!! I made a special breakfest for the kids...check it out!

French Toast with powdered sugar, apples drizzles with caramel, and chocolate milk to top it all off!

Well today hubby is continuing his sheetrocking.  He will probably finish the garage today.  HOORAY!!!  Then we need to get all the electrical hooked up so our garage doors will open.  Can't wait!  I will help DD clean her room and get ready for her first day of school tomorrow.  I have papers to fill out and a lunch to make and pack for her.  Catch ya next time! _Connie

I can so relate to the New Year's Eve! We were in bed by 11:15 and DIDN'T go anywhere!!! How sweet it was for you to make such a cool breakfast for the kids.

Wow!

That was quick. So I understand you got the job at the school where the kids will be, right? That's good news. Where is Blake going to go? It'll be okay, I know that sounds trite, but change is never easy, right? It's like breastfeeding, any amount of time you do it is beneficial. Same with the homeschooling, the amount of time you've done it has been beneficial, and do I understand it's possible you can stop after you reach the required time? Okay, I'm going now, I hope I don't sound like I don't understand. You have my prayers as you guys undertake this change. -Chris
