Finally relaxing

Well one of my best friends who is also a nurse sent me this wonderful card this week and prescribed some much needed R&R.  We took two days together to just play and hang out.  On Wednesday, we planned a hike.  I know some of you are thinking...what a hike???? that's not relaxing!  But for me it is.  Walking, running, or hiking in the outdoors is one of the biggest stress relievers for me.  I LOVE the nature and my favorite place to be is in the woods by a bubbling brook.  We ended up doing a nature scavenger hunt that I found on line and it was pretty fun to see how many of the items we could get.  We got 49 out of like 75  I think.  Not too shabby.  On Thursday we went to Six Flags.  The kids had earned tickets for reading 600 minutes by February.  This was their reward.  We had fun and closed the park.  My kids have a habit of closing amusement parks.  They did it last year at Hershey Park and twice this year at Fun Town Splash Town USA and Six Flags.  We had a great time and I cherished the time spent with good friends.  Here are some pics her 10 yr old daughter took on our outings.
