Budgeting...
Okay since we are on the topic of vacations and budgeting, I was curious if anyone had any ideas for work-from-home opportunites? Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with anything? I will list some of my ideas after I get some comments. I would love to glean some advice as well!!! As I am sure you all know with your own experiences, the Lord always provides. Some weeks we don't have any money left over for the week and we will receive an unexpected check in the mail! He always takes care of His children.

I just happened to find you on FH today, as I was just browsing for something to read ;o) i noticed you need a work from home opportunity? I actually get paid to blog...you can visit my blog at
http://sixbendersandadog.blogspot.com/
and then click on the blue "payperpost" picture.
You get $20 just to write your first post, and they pay by paypal.
This probably seems like I was fishing for referals, but I honestly just found your blog today and noticed what you had said. And I like it! I'm going to keep reading.

you do get paid more than $20. THey give you opportunities to blog about stuff, to advertise for companies etc and each one pays a different amount. I got paid $27 for one of them!

I love your blog...so proud of you.
Your neighbor at 125 :)
Hmmm...
Don't do tupperware, stampin' up, etc. If you are a good salesperson, you are buying just as much as your customers to keep them up to date with the new items. I've seen some do it and be successful.. in fact the gal I signed under ended up within a year of being a regular demo like me to moving up do the district manager who ran the distribution center. WILD... I'm just not that outgoing to pursue something... and really anyone that I've seen be successful in stampin up, pampered chef, longaberger, etc... they all spent a LOT of time away from the family. You can't be "HOME" and be successful at these types of "work at home jobs".
What is successful... for us was farmer's market was OK... but you'll need to be organized to make it work. If you fall behind and have to run to the store for a last minute garden supply or baking item... you lose money quickly by not buying in bulk or just running your gas off.
ALSO, just BEING home and making that your job. Grow a garden, can and preserve everything you can get your hands on. Raise your own meat, go fishing and hunting (we don't hunt, but raise enough meat not to have to). I've leaned more and more this way and found this is the biggest way I've been able to save money was just simply by growing and raising my own groceries.
Warmly, ~Melissa
