Frugal family fun

1. Go to the library. We have 3 different libraries we like to go to in our area.  We will alternate libraries. 

2. Now that the weather is nicer go to parks, and pack a picnic lunch.  We have a public swimming pool near our home.  The town offers a family season pool pass for about $40-unlimited. That saves us alot of money for our large family!

3. Go yard saleing or thrift store shopping.  We just did this last night.  We bought a bunch of clothes for 11.00.  Every Wed at our local thrift store they have 1/2 off Family Day.

4. Rent a free movie Monday nights at Redbox.  Make it a movie night, and pop some popcorn. Or borrow a movie from the library.

5. Keep in touch with your friends.  Our kids love to get together with our friends who have kids and play.  There is nothing better then getting together with our Christian friends, sharing a meal together, and fellowshiping.  We get together with friends at least 2 times a week. 

6. Home Depot offers free kids clinics every so often.  If you go to their website they should have a schedule.

7. Last but not least, make it your business to find out what your area offers that is free.  For example in our area we have a books reading program.  For every few books they read they earn passes for free activities.  This last one they earned 2 movie tickets each.
