Professional Carpet Clean?

Our rugs in my opinion are in dier need of cleaning. We have lived in our house for 4 years and have never cleaned them. I called a local carpet cleaning company and they quoted me $100.00 to have our living room and dining room cleaned. What do you all think? Is that a good price, or should we just rent a cleaner? Please voice your opinions!!

We had our carpets professionally dry cleaned when we moved in (help clean up previous people & animal dirt) we were thankful - they looked GREAT! :0) It was the quick dry kind - which is what we needed as we received keys, painted - instlaled a new floor, cleaned and moved in the same day - we were all tripping over each other as the carpet guy cleaned the carpets (with a great attitude, I might add!) and they looked wonderful. I've steamed them with my mom's steamer since, and they have never looked as good as when he did it! It was Chem-dry - I believe - non-toxic and it dried quickly.
