Hot Cocoa Mix...

01:06, Thursday, January 11, 2007 .. 2 comments .. Link

I made another batch of my -

Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

8 Cups powdered milk

1 1/4 cup cocoa powder

2 1/2 cups raw sugar

dash of salt

Store in airtight container

I also made

Homemade Chocolate Syrup

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 t. vanilla

Mix cocoa powder, sugar and water and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla.  Store in canning jar-put in fridge.

On another note-house hunting is STILL going on.  I am not sure if we will ever find a larger house at this rate.  Houses are TOO expensive!  Hopefully with much prayer God will lead us where He wants us to be.

I will try your syrup mix. Do you know how long it stays fresh in the frig?
House hunting must be frustrating....I could not imagine buying a house at this time. The recent housing boom really jacked up the prices. I didn't catch if you own or rent the house your in. I know a lot of people who opted to just add onto their existing home because a new home was way too expensive. Good luck!

We own our home right now...

We have 6 kids living in a small house with hardly any yard. My dream is to live in a house that has some land so I can have some chickens and goats.
The chocolate syrup will last in your fridge a long time.
