Done Making Rice Heating Bags!!!

12:03, Thursday, December 21, 2006 .. 1 comments .. Link

This was my first attempt to make something for Christmas for relatives using my sewing machine!!  The rice heating bags are really easy to make.

I am proud of myself-I have Baked Chicken in the crockpot for dinner tonight.  One less thing to think about!!

The only thing I think we need to do tonight is go back to Target to return a Barbie my daughter Faith already has.

I need to make another batch of homemade Hot Cocoa Mix to put into one more mason jar and make popcorn seasoning and I am done with gifts for relatives.

My daughter Amanda is home from school today.  She told me this morning her throat hurt-but I don't think it hurts anymore.  I was going to take her to the walk-in but I think now it would be a waste of time.

Does anyone have any advice on an almost 2 year old who won't stay with you when you go to stores?  I had an awful time with Joshua yesterday in Joanne Fabrics!

Well, I will write again later.

I made some of those last year and I absolutely loved them!

As far as the almost 2 year old, I'd say to just practice, practice at home. Set aside a time when things aren't rushed and explain how he is supposed to behave while you are shopping. Make it fun role playing and then once he has the hang of it, practice with consequences and rewards as well. Then just heap on the praise when you're shopping and he's being cooperative. Never let him see you sweat!
