A very sad day

Sometimes living a country life isn't always fun. Yesterday was a very sad day around here. Over the past week, our baby goat, Oreo, has been very sick and progressively getting worse and worse. We tried everything we could do to nurse him back to health, but yesterday he had to be put down. We knew he would be dead within the next day or so, and couldn't stand to see the sweet little baby suffering.

We will eventually get another goat, but from a different source. We have recently heard that the place we got Oreo from has a history of sickly animals, and don't want to go through that again. In the meantime, Brownie will have to be content with the attention that she gets from us.

I am so sorry about your very sad day. What a horrible thing to go through. I will pray that God brings peace to your suffering. I do not want to seem callous with a change of subject, but I wanted to let you know that I tried your honey whole wheat bread recipe and it was delicious. Thank you for sharing it. But again as I watch my old black lab laying at my feet snoring while I type this and think of him dying, and I am struck by such accute sadness that I can only feel bad that you had to go through that with Oreo. I will also pray for your children, as I am sure they are very sad as well.
