Happenings from the Bush homestead

A slow start to Monday morning

We're up late this morning.  Olivia had a fever all day yesturday and over night.  That and her cough and stuffy nose made for another sleepless night.  She's still fighting the fever and cold stuff today.

We did find the livingroom again last evening.  The toys were shoved here and there and everywhere, stuff was all over.  Where was the floor?  So, all 7 of us worked together (well, ok only 6 of us because Olivia is only 9months old) to get it all put back the way it should be.  Organized and tidy.  It only really took about 1/2 an hour with all of us working.  And I found more things to throw out.  I was pretty pleased with the result and the fact that I got to throw more things in the trash.  YAY!

Today is laundry day.  I've recently changed my laundry schedual around since purchasing my new machines.  Don't have to do laundry everyday!  WOOHOO!  Today is one of the laundry days.  I would love to be able to do laundry once a week, but we don't have enough clothing per person or towels to do so.  It will be nice though to not do 4 loads everyday because my machines are so small and broken.  Who knew when I was young that I'd be so excited about a new washer and dryer and doing laundry?

On todays adgenda:

  • Laundry 1 whites, 1 blues, 1 reds, 1 towels and 1 sheets.  Laudnry done!
  • Bake the bread.  It's rising right now.
  • Vacuum the carpeted rooms after the husband wakes up.  He works all night and sleeps all day, so we clean around his sleeping time.
  • School and Awana verses.
  • Sew the apron with the burgandy and roosters/farmish material.
  • Plus the other little things that are on the list like swipe the bathroom and such.

So now my tea is about done and breakfast of girlscout cookie lemon wedge things are gone.  Maybe tomorrow I will be up early and make eggs and toast again.  I was doing that for a long time, but then we all got the flu so badly twice and this respitory virus stuff hit us and won't go away.  I've blown my 7am start righ tout of the water.  Perhaps tonight Olivia will sleep better and wake me up at 7am sharp.

Reds & Blues

Hi. It is nice to have the living room done isn't it.

When I wash I count the red and blues the same, I guess because they are both dark colors.

Enjoy your new washing machine and drier. I have 5 children and use a 7kg washing machine. I guess that would be 14lbs of clothes?

It is Wednesday here today in Australia, it is hard to work out when you have posted without the times on these blogs, I guess I will get used to it.

I bet the girls like their eggs!

I had a look at your website and your girls are beautiful. I have one blondy like that, she is just 4. Our other blondy is 9, not not so little but still lovely.
